Valentine's Day

I hate romantic comedies. Life is never like a romantic comedy and when these types of movies are over I'm usually left sitting there thinking:
A) What's wrong with my life and why do I feel a little less better after watching this.
B) This movie was total bull-shit with the sex scenes like that and the woman getting her heel stuck in the street never happens ever. This fucking shit is unrealistic.
C) I would rather watch a drama that is more about the real life things that I think about and experience.

Then I saw this trailer and to be honest I can't decide if it's going to be any of the above. It plays a little to that "being alone on Valentine's Day" stigma that I think is even more bull-shit. It might be none of the above. We'll have to see. But perhaps you ladies will enjoy seeing this movie with all the eye candy:
Bradley Cooper - Patrick Dempsey - Jamie Foxx - Ashton Kutcher - Eric Dane

And guys there are a few hot girls in this one too.

I love romantic comedies. Not because I have an unrealistic view of how relationships happen or work but because most of the times they're funny as shit. And I have to tell you, Dewey, I have gotten my heel stuck in the street once. It was in Ybor City, Florida. I was there for a friend's bachelorette party and was plastered. I could barely walk in heels as it was, let alone trying to walk in them drunk. Sure as shit, there was a crack in the street. And sure as shit, I got my heel stuck in it. What did I do? Took off my shoes and left them there. Yeah, I was plastered.

Also, not all those guys are eye candy. Patrick Dempsey is gross in my opinion. I do not see why he's so "McDreamy" 'cause to me, he's McYucky. He's no Dewey, that's for sure. ;-)

The best eye candy in this movie? The Jessicas (Biel and Alba)!!! HOT DAMN I'd love to do naughty things to them, at the same time.....Mmmmm, you don't even know!

Looks like a chick flick to me! Which can have it's advantages (depending on what you willing to put up with...)

Ya know...that little dimple on your chin reminds me of Ed Norton, whom I happen to think is WAY hot!

Hmmm...McDewey has a nice ring to it I think!

All I ever ask of my Chick Flick Rom Com's is that they have a HAWT man in them, that they are totally unrealistic (I like the silly escapism), and that they have a happy ending. I don't care what spins and permutations they need to perform to produce the happy ending, but it had just better be there.

'Course, I like it when stuff blows up too...

OOOHHHHHHHHHHHH Bradley! I love him. I like Patrick Dempsey too. Definitely have to see the movie. I don't like Jessica (stole Cameron Diaz from Justin Timberlake!) Biel.
Hhmpf.

McDreamy (whom I don't think is hot) and McSteamy in a movie together. Huh. McSteamy tho? He's my eyecandy. Hooooboy is he my eye candy. I'm torn between Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel.

I love these movies, I really do. But I will also admit that I can end up a lil mopey and wanting that whole fate/big romance/hugelikewhoa thing.

How bad can it be....it has Jessica Alba in it. Hell. The movie could be on mute and I'd prob still enjoy it! ;)

Seriously though....it has an all star cast. That's got to mean something. But. I'm a sucker for romantic comedies. Probably not much of a surprise coming from me though.

I will see this one in theaters. What does that say about me? lol

There is the occasional romantic comedy I enjoy. Something like "The Proposal" or "Love Actually", that possesses some sarcastic and/or risque elements to balance the saccharine.

99% of romantic comedies I've seen are just all-out chick flicks, which I usually don't like. My girlfriends do, so I often end up at some atrocity like "27 Dresses", and rue the 105 minutes I've lost from my life. At least I never subject a date to such horrors.

Looks like a big pile of suck, and not in a good way.

Show me gore, make me laugh, educate me, or leave me alone.

Oh, or get me off. I'll take that, too.

Dewey, this is a great mind provoking post! I have to admit when I watch stuff like this, I almost always turn to my hubby and automatically think why are we not picture perfect like the endings of some Hollywood love stories? Why because once again Hollywood has implanted in our brains these false imagery's and we all fall for it every freaking time!
